Smells have a superpower.

Scent is a memory trigger, and every memory has the power to bring out certain emotions. Realtors bake cookies right before a showing to make potential buyers feel warmly welcomed. Retail stores use the scent of pumpkin spice and peppermint to put shoppers into a festive mood. Even sniffing that old quilt from grandma catapults you back to the joys of your childhood days. I can go on and on.

This Smell = Memory = Mood equation motivated me to create candles, wax melts, and room sprays that give your home or office a more unique scent, making it more memorable than what you could achieve with a traditional fragrance sold by every big box store.

My name is Aimee Frey, Owner & Creator at Hemingway Lane Candles.

I am a wife, mom, grandma, ex-insurance agent turned candlemaker, and a giant ball of energy! No seriously; my mind never stops. I am always creating new products, dreaming of what's next and looking for ways to elevate my customers' experiences.

I spend my days experimenting with different scents and perfecting the craft to create fragrance combinations that are truly memorable. The everyday challenge of creating something new and taking pride in the end result is so exciting and satisfying!

I love to hear that my products are loved among friends, family, as well as all of my online customers and pop-up shop visitors. I look forward to many more years to come pouring candles that get you to Relax. Unwind. Enjoy. Repeat.

Amber is not only a great employee, she's my daughter! (Isn't she purty?!) Amber gives me the confidence and support I need to be successful. Whether she's filling in for me at an event, helping to find new opportunities, or jumping in to box orders, she's always on top of it and willing to dive in. It's great to have a daughter like Amber....everyone should have an Amber in their life!

Jeff Frey

Jeff is my husband of 25 years! Jeff is the muscle behind it all. Jars are heavy, but he's muscular (LOL). Setting up the tent at events is difficult, but he makes it look so easy. And sometimes when I work late into the night, he takes care of the dogs so I can sleep in, wake up, and do it all over again. I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have him as a husband and business partner!
